Digital Buzz – Avoiding Twitter Trolls with Automated Verification!
It can be difficult to keep up with all of the technological advances happening in our world – there’s always so much going on! As part of our weekly blog, SponsoredLinX take a look at some of the biggest social media news announcements to have caught our eye during August.
Twitter launches Automated Verification for brands
Twitter is making it easier than ever for brands to get the coveted little blue badge of approval. With their new Automated Verification process, companies can help to secure their brand against fake troll accounts, making it easier for customers to spot the authentic profile.
To get started, simply head to Twitter’s support page, and submit a request. You’ll need a few details such as a verified phone number, a confirmed email address, a website, a profile photo and a few other things, but overall, it’s a pretty simple process!
Shopping on Pinterest?
While many of us use Pinterest for creative inspiration or relaxation, it has gradually joined the shopping platforms of the world. After introducing direct shopping from the app last year, Pinterest have now rolled out a new shopping cart for their ‘buyable pins’.
“With your new shopping bag, you can throw in any buyable Pin that catches your eye, whether you’re shopping on your Android or the web (iOS to come!). When you’re ready to check out, everything you’ve added to your bag will be right there waiting for you.” – Pinterest
Another recent development is the ability to now search for buyable pins by tapping on the visual search icon (found at the top of any pin).
Pinterest have revealed that they have partnered with 20,000 merchants, and will display over 10 million unique products via the social platform.
