Digital Buzz – 2017 Social Media Updates To Facebook, LinkedIn & Snapchat

It can be difficult to keep up with all of the technological advances happening in our world – there’s always so much going on! Today, we peer into some of the 2017 social media updates you need to know!

LinkedIn and Snapchat Re-Design Making Search Easier

Rolled out in late January, the latest LinkedIn update goes a long way toward making searches much easier. With the updated feature, users can now find what they’re looking for via a single search bar; allowing for results to be filtered according to people, jobs, companies, groups and schools.

LinkedIn have also revealed that in the near future users will be able to search posts from the new search bar.

Likewise, Snapchat have also updated their search functions! Taking a look at the app we can now see that a search bar exists on the Stories page, as well as the chat and camera screens. So how does it work? Simply tap the search box and you’ll see a new overlay design pop up, allowing you to access messages or stories from friends more easily (via ‘Quick Chat’ suggestions). You can also search through your friend lists, and discover new friends/contacts, more efficiently.

It’s a welcome move, given Snapchat’s reputation for being kind of difficult/frustrating to use.
